Locations
Franklin Swim School operates out of two primary locations throughout the year. Our main location is Franklin Community High School which we use year round, while our secondary location, Franklin Community Middle School, is only utilized during the summer.
Franklin Community High School
Franklin Community High School is located at 2600 Cumberland Dr, Franklin, IN 46131. FCHS features an 8 lane 50-meter Olympic sized pool with a connected shallow water teaching pool. Throughout the winter, this is configured into two 25-yard pools, while during the summer we configure it as the full 50-meter pool to allow our competitive athletes to train for national level competitions. Due to this being the primary pool used for our swim teams, the water temperature is typically kept between 78-80 degrees. The pool is located on the southeast side of the high school in the athletic wing. Students and families should enter the pool through Door 11 and proceed to the blue bleachers across the pool. Your instructor will meet you there.
Franklin Community Middle School
Franklin Community Middle School is located at 625 Grizzly Cub Dr, Franklin, IN 46131. FCMS features an indoor 6 lane pool that can be configured in both 25 yard and 25 meter configurations along with a separate diving well. Traditionally this is kept in the 25 yard configuration for use by both Franklin College's Varsity Swim Team as well as the Middle School Swim Team. This provides an additional widthwise lane that is perfect for teaching younger swimmers. The pool is traditionally kept a little warmer than that of the high school pool. The pool can be accessed through Door 22 on the south side of the school and is immediately to the left upon entering. Students can sit in the bleachers where their instructors will come to meet them.
